Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Delhi
Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative and escorted to the hotel for check-in. After Lunch, You may also go for half day sightseeing tour of Delhi. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi to Jaipur (290 Kms – 6 hrs )
After breakfast, travel to Jaipur by road. Upon arrival, you will be met a Smile India Tour representative and escorted to the hotel. Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan and is always at its exuberant best in terms of color, dance, and song with the traditional arts and crafts.. After check-in tour of Jaipur start. Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this colour. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, the Observatory & Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 3: Jaipur
After breakfast start another 4 hour guided tour of Jaipur, beginning with an excursion to the city including ride on a painted elephant to the magnificent fortress-palace at Amber. Once the royal capital, the fort is a fine example of the blending of Rajput and Mughal architecture. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Jaipur/Ranthambore (Approx. 157 Kms. - 3 hrs.)
Morning drive to Ranthambore. The Ranthambore Tiger Sanctuary is one of the fine examples of the "Project Tiger" conservation efforts. Nestled in the Aravali hills, amidst the arid plains and rugged tracts of the royal state of Rajasthan, lies Ranthambore National Park, a haven for the adventure seeker and the wildlife watcher. In the 13th century A.D. Govinda, the grandson of Prithviraj Chauhan took over the reign of the land. Later his successor Vagabhatta, beautified the city and built a noteworthy temple at Jhain. In the middle of the 15th century A.D. Rana Kumbha captured the fort and gifted it to his son to be occupied later by the Hada Rajputs of Bundi and Mughal Emperors Akbar and Aurangazeb. Mughal Emperor Shah Alam gifted it to Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I of Jaipur in 1754 and since then it was maintained as the hunting preserve of the Maharaja. Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh were part of the royal hunting who stayed here.You will be accompanied by a naturalist into the Park for evening safari. On arrival check in at hotel.
Day 5: Ranthambore
National park Timings Morning (0630hrs. - 0930 hrs.) Evening (1430 hrs. - 1730 hrs.) Full day to explore the park. You will be accompanied by a naturalist into the Park for morning and evening safari. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Ranthambore /Bharatpur (Appx. 150 kms. - 4 hrs.)
(Keoladeo National Park open at 0630 hrs. till 1800 hrs.) Morning drive to Bharatpur. Bharatpur is home to India's most famous bird sanctuary. A total of 400 species of birds have been recorded, most famous of which is the Siberian Crane. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Bharatpur – Agra (60 kms – 2 hrs)
Day 8: Agra - Gwalior - Orchha
Day 9: Orchha / Khajuraho
Day 10: Khajuraho/ Bandhavgarh
Day 11: Bandhavgarh
Day 12: Bandhavgarh / Kanha
